Aluminum Foil Scrim (FSM) Tapes

Aluminum Foil Scrim (FSM) Tapes

Aluminum Foil Scrim Tape is a type of tape that is made of a combination of aluminum foil, a scrim reinforcement (a fine mesh net), and coated with a transparent Rubber-resin adhesive and protected by a siliconized paper liner. It is often used in construction and insulation applications to seal joints and seams, and to provide a vapor barrier.

Application Usage:

Used for various sealing, repairing, and joining applications in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems and insulation installations.

FSK foil scrim kraft tape applied for the coating and insulation in the air conditioning and ventilation sector.

General patching, sealing and fastening applications.

Union of fiberglass sheets or duct joints.

Insulation sealing of cold rooms.

Recommend use as sheet metal duct water vapor seal.

Rigid insulation of closing air ducts.

Features:

Scrim is superior to other fabrics because the fibers are not crimped. Scrim is strong, flexible, and can be fire retardant.

Excellent level of adhesion and performance at higher temperatures.

High-strength foil-scrim laminate backing resists tearing.

High quality adhesive capable of bonding on a wide variety of substrates in cold climates.

High-tack synthetic rubber adhesive forms an instant bond.

Vapor barrier, reflecting heat, reflecting light, and UV-resistant design.
